Celebrate!

Hello Friends,
I am back here with a bright card made in warm shades of summer. It was an easy card but as usual I started with some idea & then ended with some twist in between...
Have a look.....

After inking the background and stamping I thought of dividing the panel into 2 parts and this was what I have not planned earlier!
The lovely flowers were stamped and heat embossed on coloured vellum sheet. I was happy to see this orange shade vellum as it perfectly mached my card.

I hope you liked it, do share with me :)
Happy crafting and Happy weekend!

Nature & Home!

Hello Friends,
I am excited to share a lovely project with you all...A Happy floral art piece measuring 11 by 13 inches & with lots of flowers. This beautiful garden scene opens outside the window of the house...

It gave me memories of my hometown too because I could enjoy beautiful greenery there with lots of florals, chirping birds and fluttering butterflies. How refreshing nature is! Just brightens you up!

Wall is made with brick red color crackle paint. Floral bushes are made using decoupage napkin. I thought it would be perfect around the window hence I have used it here. Stenciled leaves represents the fallen leaves on green grass
This 3D chipboard was painted with Sap green acrylic and then sprayed with alcohol splash "Citron Breeze". Added a piece of Burlap behind the window. Some berries, pollens and tiny flowers were added too to the window. Also tied a metal embellishment to it.

Roof is made with thick cardboard, created the texture using stencil and texture paste and then followed by a spray of Citron Breeze colour. Some bushes and florals on the top of roof added more life to my project.

Lastly stamped lots of butterflies to complete this beautiful scene and flicked some white gesso at the base.

I enjoyed making this project and it will be hanging on the wall of my room to lit me up daily!
I hope you liked it, do let me know I would love to read what you say :)

Thanks for all your love and visiting my blog.

Center Step Pop up Card - Tutorial

Hello Friends!

Today I am excited to share a tutorial post on center step pop up card, It's not something new but it came out pretty well and I thought of sharing a tut for this! I have prepared it for this month's ICR post

I have done plenty of things here, center step technique, stamping, doodling, die cutting and pencil coloring.

Let's start with the making process,
Things needed: Thick cardstock measuring 5.5 inches by 11 inches, scoreboard, trimmer or cutting knife, any adhesive or glue for paper and scissors.
Additionals: pattern papers, stamp pads, stamp and die cuts, shimmer or diamond dust for decoration.

Process:

Line the cardstock on score board with 11" side on top, as shown in the above picture. Score at 1", 2", 6.5" & 10" as shown by arrows in the pic.

Now line the paper with 5.5" side on top, score at 1" from first horizontal line as shown in the picture i.e. leaving a gap of 1" from top. Score from 1" till 6.5" line. Cut the same with the trimmer or cutting knife. flip the paper & repeat the same on other side. So there will be two lines to cut.

Next score between the cut lines at 5.5" as shown in pic above with red arrow.

Fold at the score lines. Blue lines shows mountain fold i.e. raising upwards and red lines shows valley fold i.e. bending downwards.
And the card is done!

Next is embellishing it!

I stamped the images and coloured them with pencil colours. Sides of the paper were inked with stamp pads using foam pad. Hut was stamped on pattern paper.
Did some doodling with white and black gel pen...triangles, dots and spirals. Fairies were stamped, fussy cut and adhered to the card. Lastly I thought of adding some shimmer to my card so applied some glue using paint brush and sprinkled diamond dust on it. I just did this on edges of the card and on die cuts. Lastly stamped the sentiment, words "Create" & "Your own" were added with foam tape. And it was done!

Hop on to Indian Craft Room to check in the complete details. There shall be another mid month tutorial by DT partner Ash and we shall be choosing two winners and there will be two prizes!
Here is our moodboard

Hope the post was helpful and you enjoyed it!
Until next time Happy Crafting!
